Three Steps to Get the Best Ideas in Meetings You Lead

For many of us this time of year comes with it additional planning. From planning out the perfect Christmas Eve service to thinking about the calendar for the upcoming year - planning is the order of the day.
I actually really enjoy planning meetings now, but I didn’t always. In previous leadership roles one of the mistakes I would often make is trying to force the collaboration along, so I would often times just let the ideas rain out of my mouth without any real thought on collaboration or intentionality.
In doing so I would stifle the creativity of the team and end up with ideas that were less collaborative. If you want the best and most collaborative ideas for your team be willing to take these three steps to ensure you are working the best possible way!
And I should really say this first; no idea or meeting will be Spirit-led outside of prayer.
Begin the meeting with intentional prayer, let the meeting soak in prayer, and for sure - don’t rush the prayer!
